A New Era Begins with The Writers Place

What you have heard is true. The Writers Place is moving to a new office and restructuring its service to writers, readers, and regional literature. The Midwest Center for the Literary Arts (parent organization to The Writers Place) will step away from its grand building at 3607 Pennsylvania, after 27 years, and will move its office in December to Nonprofit Village, 31 W 31st Street, Kansas City, MO. The Writers Place will be able to devote all of its energies to programming, such as workshops, readings, discussions, and youth and senior projects. Some events will take place at the spaces in Nonprofit Village, but more and more events will occur throughout the city and region. This restructuring means that Writers Place events will reach into neighborhoods and locations not well served before.

Now is the time to renew your membership or become a member of this newly structured, literary service organization.

Keep alert for news of a reception in a few weeks to meet the new members of The Writers Place Board of Directors.

We can’t wait for what’s next!
