Marianne Kunkel is the author of  The Laughing Game  (Finishing Line Press) and numerous poems that have appeared in  Notre Dame Review ,  Hayden’s Ferry Review ,  Rattle ,  The Missouri Review , and elsewhere. She has an MFA in poetry from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where for three years She was the managing editor of  Prairie Schooner . Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and Publishing at Missouri Western State University and the Editor-in-Chief of  The Mochila Review .
